This year in P.E. we exercised by running and doing jumping jacks, this helps us to clear our minds and also release stress. When this happens we can concentrate better on our school work, and get along better with our friends and teachers. We are young and changing physically when exercising, exercising helps us to be in better health to live longer and enjoy a happier life. Exercising together helps us to communicate as a group and to socialize with other students.
This year in art class we did self portraits using a mirror. I believe this belongs to the ATL because I had to create a portrait of myself using different strategies our art teacher taught us. Before I did this assignment I really didn’t know how to use the art strategies our teacher had taught us. As I got more into panting my face I discovered where shading could be used when drawing my face. I am able to communicate to people that see my portrait the different expressions I can create by using the strategies I learned.
This year in Spanish class I made a paragraph on a short story called “Bellisa Creposculario”. I think that this assignment falls into the ATL area of interaction. I believe this because we had to write and tell on what the book was about. By reading this story I was able to write a short summary that was well explained. The Spanish teacher read the summary and agreed on what I had written. I can tell you about the book because I read it therally and understand the book clearly.
For technology this year I did a news letter on hacking. I had to explain how I could avoid hackers from stealing your identity and how you can stop them. I also wrote much more valuable information people could use. I believe that this falls into the community service of the areas of interaction. I believe it falls on this category because it’s my job to inform my community on what hackers can do. This is how I can make a difference by telling others the harm hackers can do to your computer and to your personal safety.
Social Studies
This year for social studies I did a free response essay on a cowboy movie telling if we thought the movie was accurate or inaccurate. I n my opinion this movie was inaccurate. I believe that this belongs to the ATL area of interaction because we had to explain our answer in a essay form. I had to do my best because this is going on a portfolio that will be given to my social studies teacher next year. By doing my best I learned how to organize myself and give details on why I thought this video was inaccurate. I know I did a good job on this because I got an eighty-eight on my essay. I was able to communicate to people by telling them that the movie on cowboys we watched was not accurate by giving scene from the video that did not have credibility.
This year we dissected a rat and we had to study and identify the organs inside the rat. I believe this falls into the ATL area of interaction. When dissecting the rat I learned how to dissect the rat and where I should pin the body down. I was also able to name the organs inside the rats’ body and learn the functions each organ carry’s thought the body. I know that I did my best in this assignment because I got an eighty on the review quiz. Since we were working as a group to dissect and learn the rats internal organs we were able to communicate with each other and work as a team.
This year we had to put coordinates on a coordinate plane. When we connected the coordinates it would trace out the United States map which we then had to color in. This would fall under the ATL area of interaction. On this assignment I learned how to read coordinates and put them on the coordinate plane. I had to do my best because I had to mark the coordinates in order to trace out the United States Map correctly. If I didn’t do this I would get ten points off on any coordinate that was not marked correctly. I know I did this correctly because my teacher checked the assignment and I got a hundred. I communicated by telling how I coordinated a number that was given to me.
